Monex Protocol / Docs

Roadmap

From gateway to network: protocol, marketplace, and decentralized settlement.

Monex Protocol ships in phases: prove the protocol, open the marketplace, decentralize settlement. Dates are targets, not promises.

Phase 0: Prove the protocol (shipped)

  • MPP gateway: 402 challenges, EIP-3009 verification, on-chain settlement
  • No-code merchants: proxy any API or sell a file, priced in stablecoins
  • USDC on Base and USDG on Robinhood Chain
  • Gas-sponsored Permit2 approvals and relayed settlement on Robinhood Chain
  • First MPP payment settled in USDG on Robinhood Chain mainnet
  • Machine-readable discovery via per-merchant openapi.json

Phase 1: Open the marketplace (in progress)

  • Public marketplace with crawlable index for agent discovery
  • Merchant analytics: requests, revenue, and settlement history
  • Signed payment receipts verifiable by third parties
  • MCP server so agents can discover and pay merchants natively
  • Usage-based pricing: metered offers and volume tiers

Phase 2: Grow the network (planned)

  • Additional settlement networks and stablecoins
  • Merchant reputation: uptime, dispute rate, and receipt history on-chain
  • Streaming and subscription intents alongside per-request charges
  • Self-hosted gateway: run Monex Protocol in front of your own infra

Phase 3: Decentralize settlement (planned)

  • Permissionless relayer set staked in $MONEX
  • $MONEX launch: fee discounts, relayer staking, governance
  • Protocol governance over fees, networks, and treasury
  • MPP standardization: reference implementations and an open test suite
